Ginseng Flowers

May 29th, 2007 | Category: Nature, Flower

DSC00617

This is Ginseng flowers. You’ve all seen the root, but i guess not this. These bulbs are actually very tiny. About 1mm in diameter each. This is what i drink in the morning to help me stay alert. Tastes just like the roots, minus the hefty pricetag. I am very pleased with this picture. Superb clarity at such close proximity.

Lavender

I love these Lavender flowers. Bought them from the Tea Gallery. If you’re having trouble sleeping, you can steep them into tea and i guarantee you you’ll soon sleep like a baby. Works for me. Just dont use boiling hot water or you’ll cook them, lol. Or you can try wrapping them into a small hanky or muslin cloth ands place them inside your pillow. Hang them at theair-conditioner as a natural air-purifier. Has anti-bacterial properties too. Great for soothing cranky babies too.

Cereal

This is my baby’s organic rice cereal with tiny orange, banana and pear bits. Smells and tastes heavenly. Has a wonderful smooth texture that doesnt turn lumpy. Too bad he doesnt really fancy it anymore as it lacks the “bite” factor that he desires now. I’m the one eating it now. I mix it with my milk to make it more filling.

Coffee Bean Genmaicha

May 16th, 2007 | Category: Food

DSC00627

Now you can see what’s inside the bag of Genmaicha i bought from Coffee Bean more closely. Focusing through the white translucent pocket is not easy. The camera havent got a clue where to focus at such a close distance as all it got was the “white”. I pulled the camera back until the focus locked and moved in closer until i got a clear view of the insides. And this is the result. I’m off to enjoy my cuppa of Genmaicha now, ciao!!!

So springy

May 15th, 2007 | Category: Metal

DSC00578

Now who can tell me what this is? So springy, so shiny, so soft. Can be found in almost every household. Avery very common sight indeed. Just not so up close and personal only, lol. C’mon…. give it a guess. Not that difficult after all. This reflective mass is so difficult to focus. I kept getting the blurred out effect as the lens have no idea where the focus point is. This is the only useable one.

Drain cover

May 14th, 2007 | Category: Metal

DSC01435

Drain cover at the porch. Had to practically get down on all fours short of lying on the floor to get this shot. The uneven surface  didnt make focusing easy. I kept wondering if the rough metal cover will scratch the bottom of my camera or not. I dropped my house key whilst taking this shot. Only remembering when i was asleep in bed and had to go out and look for it in ultra darkness.

From Gordon with Love

May 12th, 2007 | Category: Love

DSC01392

I found this inside Gordon’s schoolbag just now. Something he made for me at school. This is my very first Mother’s Day present from him. Being given the opportunity to be a mother and blessed with two beautiful sons is indeed the greatest gift i’ve ever received. I cannot ask for more. Now i know how much of a pain i’ve been to my mom, lolz. HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY to all.

Rose

DSC00621

As beautiful as a rose. So pink…. so romantic…. so fragrant. This is actually a dried rose bud, which i make rose tea with once in a while. I love the light and delicately sweet taste it imparts when the cup reaches my lips. They say rose tea is good for the skin and heart. I’ve had so many cups already, but i dont see any difference also, lol. It’s about to finish. Time to replenish stock.

Rusty dog chain

May 03rd, 2007 | Category: Metal

DSC00577

This used to be Benjamine’s chain. He’s gone to live with his Vet. All rusty now. How come still around here? Should have thrown it away long ago. Not that we’re going to get another dog. I love Golden Retrievers; really obedient dogs. Makes great family dogs, especially with children around. Too bad, he’s gone now. Miss him so much. I wonder how is he now.
